Responsibilities
- Develop and implement 3-5 year technology roadmaps aligned with market trends and business objectives
- Lead research initiatives in emerging technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech)
- Partner with product teams to integrate future-tech capabilities into commercial products
- Present strategic recommendations to executive leadership and board members
- Manage innovation labs and pilot programs for experimental technologies
- Build and lead a specialized futurist team
- Represent the company at global tech conferences and industry forums
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership at Fortune 500 companies
- Proven track record in emerging technology adoption and commercialization
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Deep expertise in at least two of: AI/ML, quantum computing, sustainable tech
- Certification in Technology Foresight or Strategic Planning preferred
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to translate complex concepts
- Experience managing innovation budgets over $5M
- Published thought leadership in tech journals or major industry platforms
