Responsibilities
- Scan horizon for breakthrough technologies (AI, quantum, biotech, Web3) with 2026+ relevance
- Develop 5-year technology roadmaps aligned with market disruption forecasts
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints with R&D, product, and engineering teams
- Present strategic briefings to C-suite and board on emerging tech opportunities
- Build partnerships with academic labs and emerging tech startups
- Conduct scenario planning for technological black swan events
- Drive adoption of agile innovation methodologies across the organization
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning or innovation management
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (AI/ML, quantum computing, etc.)
- Proven track record of launching future-focused products or services
- Experience with horizon scanning frameworks (e.g., Gartner Hype Cycle, Delphi Method)
- Strong financial modeling skills for tech ROI forecasting
- Certification in innovation management (e.g., CIMP, CTO) preferred
- Excellent presentation skills for executive audiences
