Join Nexus Analytics Group as a Part-Time Business Analyst and transform data into actionable strategies. We're seeking a detail-oriented professional to support our growing tech clients in Austin. This flexible role (20-25 hours/week) offers remote collaboration with occasional in-person workshops at our downtown office. You'll bridge the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders, driving impactful decisions through insightful analysis.
Responsibilities
- Conduct stakeholder interviews to gather business requirements and document processes
- Analyze complex datasets using SQL, Excel, and BI tools to identify trends and opportunities
- Create detailed process flows, user stories, and functional specifications
- Develop dashboards and visualizations using Tableau/Power BI for executive reporting
- Facilitate JIRA/Confluence workshops for backlog grooming and sprint planning
- Validate solutions against business objectives through UAT coordination
- Present findings to leadership with clear, data-driven recommendations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, Data Science, or related field
- 3+ years of business analysis experience with agile methodologies
- Proficiency in SQL, Excel (pivot tables/VBA), and data visualization tools
- Experience documenting requirements in JIRA/Confluence
- Strong problem-solving skills with ability to translate technical concepts
- Certification (CBAP, PMI-PBA, or equivalent) preferred
- Portfolio demonstrating process modeling and requirement artifacts
- Authorization to work in the US without sponsorship
