Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation challenges
- Develop error-corrected qubit systems and cryogenic control architectures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate quantum solutions into classical systems
- Lead research on topological qubits and fault-tolerant quantum computing
- Document technical specifications and publish findings in peer-reviewed journals
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to quantum open-source initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (MS with 5+ years experience considered)
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Experience with superconducting qubit platforms or trapped-ion systems
- Strong background in quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Published research in quantum computing or quantum information theory
- Expertise in machine learning integration with quantum systems
- Ability to secure Q-clearance or equivalent security clearance
