Our team operates at the intersection of theoretical physics and practical application, developing quantum systems that will solve problems currently deemed impossible. You'll lead a multidisciplinary team of 12 researchers, secure $5M+ in annual R&D funding, and publish findings in Nature Physics.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for real-world applications in finance, logistics, and AI
- Lead a cross-functional team of physicists, mathematicians, and software engineers
- Secure and manage federal and private research grants totaling $5M+
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Collaborate with industry partners to commercialize quantum innovations
- Mentor PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 8+ years research experience
- Published 10+ papers in quantum computing or quantum information theory
- Expertise in quantum algorithm design (Shor's, Grover's, VQE, QAOA)
- Proficiency with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Experience leading R&D teams and managing multi-million dollar budgets
- Strong track record of commercializing quantum technologies
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence and error correction
