Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Develop error correction techniques to enhance qubit stability and coherence times
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to prototype quantum circuits on real quantum processors
- Lead cross-functional projects with industry partners to solve enterprise-scale quantum problems
- Publish peer-reviewed research and present findings at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to quantum computing education initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum computing focus
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum error correction
- Proficiency in high-performance computing environments and parallel programming
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex quantum concepts into practical business applications
- Experience with quantum hardware integration (superconducting, trapped ion, or photonic systems)
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and computational complexity
