Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error-correction techniques for quantum processors
- Collaborate with hardware teams to translate theoretical models into practical applications
- Lead research publications and present findings at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and foster innovation within quantum computing teams
- Secure external funding through NSF and DoD grants
- Partner with industry leaders to implement quantum solutions in finance, healthcare, and logistics
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum error correction
- Expertise in linear algebra, probability theory, and quantum mechanics
- Experience with superconducting or ion-trap quantum systems
- Strong Python/C++ programming skills and HPC environments
- Track record of securing competitive research grants
