Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead hardware-software co-design for next-generation quantum processors
- Collaborate with NASA on quantum-resistant cryptography protocols
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature Physics and IEEE journals
- Develop error correction techniques for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists and software engineers
- Secure $5M+ in DARPA and NSF research grants annually
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (required)
- 3+ years experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing conferences
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Proficiency in high-performance computing environments
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum mechanics
- Experience securing government research grants preferred
