Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for commercial applications
- Lead cross-functional R&D teams in prototyping quantum solutions
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals/conferences
- Optimize quantum error correction protocols for industrial scalability
- Collaborate with hardware teams to bridge theory-practice gaps
- Secure $2M+ in federal/state quantum research grants
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science
- 3+ years quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency in Qiskit/Cirq frameworks and quantum simulators
- Published work in Nature/Science or equivalent venues
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum mechanics
- Experience with cloud quantum platforms (IBM/AWS)
- Track record of translating theory into commercial IP
- Security clearance eligibility preferred
