Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and cryptography
- Lead experimental validation on 100+ qubit quantum processors
- Develop error mitigation protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate with AI teams to hybridize quantum-classical computing workflows
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals/conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and drive technical innovation roadmap
- Secure external funding through DARPA/NSF grant applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (postdoc preferred)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum computing platforms (IBM Rigetti, IonQ)
- Expertise in quantum circuit optimization and tomography techniques
- Publication record in Nature/Science/IEEE journals
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, and quantum simulation frameworks
- Demonstrated ability to translate theoretical models to experimental implementations
- Strong background in linear algebra and complex systems theory
- US citizenship or permanent residency required for government contracts
