Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead cross-functional R&D projects in quantum error correction and hardware-software integration
- Collaborate with quantum hardware teams to optimize algorithm performance on 100+ qubit systems
- Publish peer-reviewed research and present findings at premier conferences (QIP, APS March Meeting)
- Secure federal grants and industry partnerships for quantum computing initiatives
- Mentor junior researchers and drive innovation in quantum cryptography protocols
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years industry experience
- Proven expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum machine learning frameworks
- Proficiency in Python, Qiskit, and Cirq with strong algorithmic optimization skills
- Publication record in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, Quantum)
- Experience with quantum annealing and superconducting qubit architectures
- Security clearance or ability to obtain for government-funded projects
