Responsibilities
- Develop novel quantum algorithms for real-world applications in optimization and machine learning
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy protocols on 1000+ qubit systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum-resistant cryptography standards
- Publish peer-reviewed research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Secure $2M+ in government/industry grants for quantum research initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science through our partnership with Stanford
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 5+ years research experience
- Published work in top-tier quantum computing conferences (QIP, TQC) or journals
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and simulation frameworks
- Expertise in quantum error correction codes and fault-tolerant architectures
- Experience with cryogenic quantum hardware (e.g., D-Wave, IBM Quantum)
- Strong track record of translating theoretical models to experimental prototypes
- US citizenship or permanent residency required for government contract work
