Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation challenges
- Develop novel quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams on topological qubit fabrication and testing
- Lead hybrid quantum-classical framework development for enterprise applications
- Publish research in Nature Physics/Quantum and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor junior researchers and supervise PhD-level interns
- Secure external funding through NSF and DoE quantum initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering with quantum focus
- 3+ years experience with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published research in quantum information theory or quantum hardware
- Expertise in quantum circuit optimization and noise mitigation
- Familiarity with superconducting qubit architectures or photonic systems
- Strong Python/C++ skills with high-performance computing experience
- Track record of translating theoretical models to experimental implementations
