Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for real-world applications
- Lead research in quantum error correction techniques for fault-tolerant systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams on quantum processor optimization
- Publish groundbreaking research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Secure and manage research grants from NSF, DoE, and private partners
- Mentor PhD researchers and lead cross-functional project teams
- Develop quantum computing frameworks for commercial deployment
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of quantum algorithm development experience
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Proficiency with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Strong publication record in quantum computing research
- Experience with high-performance computing environments
- Knowledge of quantum hardware architectures (superconducting, trapped ions)
- Ability to secure $500K+ in research funding
