Job Description
Join Nexus Labs at the forefront of quantum computing innovation as we build the infrastructure for 2026's technological frontier. We're seeking a visionary Quantum Infrastructure Architect to design, implement, and scale next-generation quantum systems that will redefine computational boundaries. This hybrid role combines deep technical expertise with strategic foresight to shape the future of quantum computing.
As a key member of our R&D division, you'll collaborate with Nobel laureates and industry pioneers to develop fault-tolerant quantum architectures. The ideal candidate thrives at the intersection of theoretical physics and practical engineering, turning quantum theory into scalable, real-world solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design quantum hardware architectures optimized for error correction and scalability
- Develop cryogenic control systems supporting 1000+ qubit configurations
- Create fault-tolerant quantum networking protocols for distributed computing
- Lead integration of quantum-classical hybrid computing frameworks
- Establish quantum security protocols for post-quantum cryptography systems
- Drive R&D initiatives in topological qubit stabilization techniques
- Mentor cross-functional teams on quantum computational principles
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Engineering, or related field (MS with exceptional experience considered)
- 5+ years designing quantum hardware or cryogenic systems
- Expertise in quantum error correction codes (surface, color, LDPC)
- Proficiency with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Deep understanding of superconducting qubit technology
- Published research in quantum computing or condensed matter physics
- Certification in quantum systems architecture (e.g., IBM Qiskit Professional)
