Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning initiatives to identify disruptive technologies with 2026 commercialization potential
- Develop strategic foresight frameworks for quantum computing, synthetic biology, and AGI applications
- Produce annual 'Future State' reports with scenario planning for 3-5 year horizons
- Advise product development teams on future-proofing architectures against 2026 technological shifts
- Build and maintain a global network of futurists, academics, and industry pioneers
- Present findings to executive leadership and board members with actionable recommendations
- Coordinate cross-functional '2026 Innovation Sprints' with engineering and design teams
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic foresight, R&D, or technology consulting with Fortune 500 experience
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum, AI, neurotech, etc.)
- Proven track record of translating future trends into commercial roadmaps
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Engineering, or related field
- Exceptional storytelling skills with executive-level presentation experience
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed journals or industry publications
- Fluency in scenario planning methodologies (STEEP, Delphi, etc.)
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ future-focused initiatives successfully implemented
