Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end project lifecycles from initiation through closure, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including budgets, timelines, and resource allocation.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, proactively communicating potential roadblocks to stakeholders.
- Facilitate cross-functional meetings, ensuring clear communication between technical teams, clients, and management.
- Monitor project performance using Agile and Waterfall methodologies, utilizing tools like JIRA and MS Project.
- Manage vendor relationships and third-party contractors to ensure quality deliverables.
- Conduct post-project retrospectives to drive continuous improvement and process optimization.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in project management, preferably within the DC government or technology consulting sector.
- PMP or PgMP certification is highly preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Agile and Scrum frameworks, with hands-on experience in sprint planning and backlog management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting complex data to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multi-million dollar budgets and complex stakeholder expectations.
- Proficiency in project management software (JIRA, Asana, MS Project).
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
