You'll collaborate with C-suite executives to develop actionable future scenarios while maintaining ethical frameworks for exponential technologies.
Responsibilities
- Design 5-10 year technology roadmaps using predictive analytics and trend forecasting
- Lead cross-functional workshops to identify disruptive opportunities in AI/ML, quantum, and Web3
- Develop scenario-planning frameworks for geopolitical and technological uncertainties
- Partner with R&D to prototype future-facing solutions with rapid iteration cycles
- Present strategic insights to investors and board members with compelling data visualizations
- Monitor global innovation ecosystems and emerging regulatory landscapes
- Mentor junior futurists on foresight methodologies and critical thinking
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Systems Engineering, or related field
- 8+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or R&D leadership
- Proven experience with scenario planning tools and horizon scanning methodologies
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum, AI, biotech, etc.)
- Strong data visualization skills with proficiency in tools like Tableau or D3.js
- Published thought leadership in technology futures or peer-reviewed journals
- Certification in Foresight methodologies (e.g., CFrA preferred)
- Exceptional storytelling ability to translate complex futures into business strategy
