Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum-AI hybrid algorithms for 2026-era computational challenges
- Lead cross-disciplinary teams of physicists, ML engineers, and domain specialists
- Secure $2M+ in federal/industry grants for quantum research initiatives
- Develop patent-pending quantum neural network architectures
- Establish industry standards for quantum-AI safety protocols
- Mentor PhD researchers and publish in Nature/Science journals
- Forge partnerships with MIT, CERN, and national quantum labs
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years in quantum algorithm development with published breakthroughs
- Expertise in TensorFlow Quantum, PennyLane, or similar frameworks
- Proven track record securing government research grants
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Experience leading teams of 10+ technical researchers
- Published work in top-tier quantum/AI conferences (QIP, NeurIPS)
- Clearance for DOE/NIST quantum research programs preferred
