Role Overview:
As a Business Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing market trends, documenting business requirements, and facilitating communication between stakeholders and technical teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Responsibilities
- Requirements Gathering: Conduct interviews and workshops with stakeholders to identify business needs and translate them into functional requirements.
- Process Improvement: Analyze current business processes and recommend solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Documentation: Create detailed user stories, process maps, wireframes, and functional specifications using tools like Visio or Lucidchart.
- Gap Analysis: Compare current state business processes against future state requirements to identify gaps.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary liaison between business units and IT development teams.
- Data Analysis: Interpret data and metrics to provide actionable insights for decision-making.
- Agile Support: Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-4 years of experience as a Business Analyst in a corporate environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, Excel (Advanced), and data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI) is highly preferred.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical thinking and troubleshooting abilities.
- Tools: Experience with JIRA, Confluence, or similar project management software.
- Location: Must be willing to work on-site in Baltimore, MD.
