The Role
As a Business Analyst, you will be responsible for gathering requirements, analyzing complex business processes, and recommending solutions that improve efficiency and profitability.
Responsibilities
- Gather and Analyze Requirements: Conduct stakeholder interviews, workshops, and document business requirements to ensure a clear understanding of project goals.
- Process Mapping: Create detailed process maps, flowcharts, and use case diagrams to visualize current and future state business processes.
- Data Analysis: Analyze data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for business process improvement.
- Requirements Management: Collaborate with development and QA teams to translate business requirements into functional specifications and user stories.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including BRDs (Business Requirement Documents) and technical specifications.
- Stakeholder Communication: Act as a liaison between technical teams and non-technical business units to ensure alignment on project deliverables.
- Testing Support: Assist in the UAT (User Acceptance Testing) phase to ensure solutions meet business needs.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Experience: 2+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar analytical role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP), and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI) is highly preferred.
- Process Knowledge: Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts to diverse audiences.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Location: Must be willing to work on-site in Seattle, WA.
