Responsibilities
- Design scalable quantum architectures for commercial applications in 2026-2027 timeframe
- Develop error-correction frameworks for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize qubit connectivity and coherence times
- Create quantum algorithms for cryptography, materials science, and optimization
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives with industry and academic partners
- Document quantum system architectures and publish breakthrough research
- Mentor junior quantum engineers and researchers
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years designing quantum systems or quantum algorithms
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Proficiency with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Deep understanding of superconducting qubits or topological quantum computing
- Published research in peer-reviewed quantum computing journals
- Experience leading technical teams in high-stakes R&D environments
