Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for cryptographic security and machine learning acceleration
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum-resistant systems for Fortune 500 clients
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, IEEE Quantum)
- Develop patentable quantum error correction methodologies for industrial applications
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
- Secure $2M+ in government grants for quantum computing initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent research experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development with superconducting qubits
- Published work in quantum cryptography or quantum machine learning
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, and quantum circuit optimization frameworks
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems and quantum error correction
- Track record of securing NSF or DOE research grants
- Expertise in post-quantum cryptographic standards (NIST PQ competition)
