Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant computing systems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum hardware prototypes at 4K temperatures
- Author peer-reviewed publications and patents in top-tier journals
- Mentor PhD researchers and cross-functional engineering teams
- Secure government and private funding through NSF and DARPA proposals
- Define quantum security frameworks for next-gen cryptographic systems
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency with Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum programming frameworks
- Published research in Nature/Science or equivalent tier journals
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence and error correction principles
- Experience with superconducting qubit or trapped-ion systems
- Strong Python/C++ programming skills with HPC optimization knowledge
