We are looking for a results-driven Senior Business Analyst to lead our analytical initiatives in Houston, TX. In this pivotal role, you will act as the bridge between our business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that our software solutions deliver measurable value and align with corporate goals.
As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for gathering, documenting, and analyzing complex business requirements, while also defining the scope and objectives of IT projects. Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth interviews and workshops with stakeholders to define clear business requirements and process improvements.
- Translate complex business needs into detailed functional specifications and technical user stories.
- Perform gap analysis between current business processes and proposed system solutions.
- Design and document detailed process flows, use cases, and data models using tools like Visio or Lucidchart.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Collaborate with development and QA teams to ensure accurate implementation of requirements.
- Monitor project progress and provide regular status reports to management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in the United States.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, Excel (Advanced functions), and data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI).
- Experience with Requirements Management Tools (e.g., JIRA, IBM DOORS, or Azure DevOps).
- Deep understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Agile, and Waterfall methodologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
