Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain horizon-scanning frameworks to identify emerging technologies and societal shifts through 2026+
- Produce high-impact trend reports and scenario-planning documents for executive decision-making
- Lead innovation workshops with stakeholders to translate foresight into product roadmaps
- Collaborate with R&D teams to prototype future-facing solutions and validate market readiness
- Represent Horizon Labs at global futurist conferences and thought leadership forums
- Mentor junior strategists in futures research methodologies and trend analysis
Qualifications
- 8+ years in foresight, strategic planning, or innovation consulting with Fortune 500 exposure
- Proven expertise in horizon scanning, scenario planning, and trend analysis methodologies
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Portfolio demonstrating published trend forecasts and scenario-planning projects
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech)
- Exceptional storytelling and presentation skills for complex future concepts
- Experience with foresight tools like Delphi methods, cross-impact matrices, and causal layered analysis
