Responsibilities
- Lead the full project lifecycle, from requirements gathering and planning to execution, monitoring, and closure.
- Manage cross-functional teams of engineers, analysts, and subject matter experts to deliver high-quality results on time and within budget.
- Ensure strict adherence to federal regulations (FISMA, NIST) and internal quality assurance processes.
- Facilitate agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and sprint reviews.
- Communicate project status, risks, and mitigation strategies to executive stakeholders and clients effectively.
- Drive stakeholder engagement and manage expectations to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of project management experience within the federal government or defense contracting sector.
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale IT projects using Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall methodologies.
- PMP, PgMP, or CAPM certification is required; PMP certification strongly preferred.
- Strong proficiency in project management tools such as Jira, MS Project, or Confluence.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex organizational structures.
