Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year innovation roadmaps for emerging technology verticals
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping next-gen solutions
- Analyze global tech trends to identify disruptive opportunities
- Secure $2M+ in annual R&D funding through compelling proposals
- Mentor junior futurists in scenario planning methodologies
- Present findings to C-suite and board stakeholders quarterly
- Establish industry partnerships for pilot deployments
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic innovation or R&D leadership
- Advanced degree in Futuristics, Systems Engineering, or equivalent
- Proven track record of scaling commercial tech products
- Expertise in at least two emerging domains: quantum computing, synthetic biology, or climate tech
- Published research in peer-reviewed futurist journals
- Certification in scenario planning or foresight methodologies
- Experience securing venture capital or government grants
- Portfolio of deployed innovations with measurable impact
