The Role
As a Business Analyst, you will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements to drive the development of high-quality software products. You will work closely with product managers, developers, and end-users to ensure that our solutions deliver maximum value to the business.
Responsibilities
- Requirements Gathering: Conduct interviews and workshops with stakeholders to identify business needs, pain points, and project requirements.
- Process Modeling: Create detailed business process models, user stories, and flowcharts using Visio or similar tools to visualize system functionality.
- Data Analysis: Analyze complex data sets to provide insights and recommendations for process optimization and strategic decision-making.
- Documentation: Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of business requirements, functional specifications, and test plans.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact for cross-functional teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment on project objectives.
- Gap Analysis: Perform gap analysis between current business processes and proposed solutions to identify potential risks and mitigation strategies.
- Testing Support: Collaborate with QA teams to validate solutions and ensure deliverables meet defined business criteria.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in a corporate or technical environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, Microsoft Excel (Advanced functions), and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI).
- Methodology: Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies, SDLC, and requirements gathering best practices.
- Tools: Experience working with requirements management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or IBM Rational DOORS.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
- Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot issues and propose effective, data-driven solutions.
