About the Role:
As a Business Analyst on our weekend team, you will act as the bridge between our technical teams and business stakeholders. You will leverage your analytical skills to identify process improvements, gather detailed requirements, and ensure that our products meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Requirements Gathering: Conduct interviews and workshops with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, document, and validate business requirements for software development and system upgrades.
- Process Improvement: Analyze existing business processes and workflows to identify bottlenecks and recommend solutions for increased efficiency and productivity.
- Data Analysis: Extract and analyze data from various sources to provide actionable insights and support decision-making processes.
- Documentation: Create detailed user stories, use cases, process maps, and functional specifications documents (FSDs) for the development team.
- Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for business stakeholders, managing expectations and ensuring clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Testing & QA Support: Collaborate with the QA team to develop test plans, create test scripts, and validate user acceptance criteria (UAT).
- Support: Provide technical support and analysis for weekend system deployments and maintenance activities.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in a software development or IT environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUP), and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Methodologies: Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies.
- Availability: Must be available to work the weekend shift (e.g., Friday to Sunday or Saturday to Monday).
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Tools: Experience with JIRA, Confluence, or similar project management tools is a plus.
