We are looking for a strategic and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join our dynamic team in Portland, Oregon. In this role, you will play a critical part in our operations by bridging the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders. You will be responsible for analyzing business needs, documenting requirements, and driving process improvements that enhance our weekend performance and overall efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Requirements Gathering: Conduct interviews and workshops with stakeholders to identify business needs and translate them into functional requirements and user stories.
- Process Analysis: Analyze current business processes to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for automation or improvement.
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation, including process maps, wireframes, use cases, and functional specifications.
- Data Analysis: Utilize SQL and Excel to extract insights from data sets, supporting decision-making and reporting for weekend operations.
- Stakeholder Communication: Act as the liaison between technical teams and business units, ensuring clear communication of project goals and deliverables.
- Testing & Validation: Collaborate with QA and development teams to validate solutions and ensure they meet business requirements.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, advanced Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables), and data visualization tools.
- Methodologies: Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, and SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Availability: Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday).
- Tools: Experience with JIRA, Confluence, or Azure DevOps is highly preferred.
