Responsibilities
- Requirements Gathering: Conduct comprehensive interviews and workshops to elicit, analyze, and document detailed business requirements from stakeholders.
- Process Improvement: Evaluate current business processes and develop strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall productivity.
- Gap Analysis: Perform gap analyses between current operations and desired future states to identify necessary changes.
- Documentation: Create clear, concise, and accurate documentation, including user stories, use cases, process flows (BPMN), and functional specifications.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, Operations, and Management, to ensure alignment on project goals.
- Testing Support: Assist in the quality assurance process by creating test plans and verifying that solutions meet the defined business requirements.
- Data Analysis: Interpret complex data sets to provide actionable insights and support decision-making processes.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar analytical role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL and Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) is mandatory. Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Methodology: Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies and project management tools (JIRA, Confluence).
- Location: Must be willing to work on-site in Chicago, IL.
