Responsibilities
- Gather and document detailed business requirements through interviews, workshops, and stakeholder analysis.
- Conduct gap analysis to identify discrepancies between current processes and desired business outcomes.
- Develop and maintain process maps, user stories, and functional specifications in JIRA.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (developers, QA, product owners) to ensure successful project delivery.
- Perform data analysis using SQL and Excel to generate reports that drive decision-making.
- Communicate project status, risks, and requirements to all relevant parties clearly and effectively.
- Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and the final implementation of new business systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in a corporate or technology environment.
- Strong proficiency in SQL for data querying and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle).
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; capable of translating technical jargon for non-technical audiences.
- Ability to travel to client sites in San Diego as needed.
