Responsibilities
- Oversee all accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger management
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to executive leadership
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations and reporting requirements
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes with accurate and timely reporting
- Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets
- Manage financial audits and coordinate with external auditors
- Analyze financial data to provide actionable insights for strategic decision-making
- Supervise accounting staff and foster a culture of financial excellence
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA required)
- Minimum 7+ years of progressive accounting experience with at least 3 years in a controller role
- Proven expertise in corporate accounting, GAAP, and financial reporting standards
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software (NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP) and Microsoft Excel
- Strong experience managing financial audits and regulatory compliance
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
- Excellent leadership abilities with experience managing accounting teams of 5+ professionals
- Deep understanding of corporate tax regulations and financial controls
