Responsibilities
- Oversee all accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll
- Develop and implement financial controls to ensure compliance with GAAP and SOX requirements
- Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes
- Prepare and present financial statements to executive leadership and board members
- Drive process improvements in financial reporting and accounting systems
- Manage relationships with external auditors and regulatory bodies
- Mentor and develop accounting team members through professional growth initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or MBA required
- 8+ years progressive accounting experience with 3+ in leadership
- Expertise in financial reporting systems (SAP, Oracle) and ERP platforms
- Proven track record of implementing financial controls and compliance frameworks
- Strong analytical skills with ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
- Excellent communication skills with ability to present to executive stakeholders
- Experience managing cross-functional teams and driving process improvements
