Responsibilities
- Oversee all accounting operations including month-end/year-end close processes
- Develop and maintain internal controls to ensure financial integrity
- Lead financial reporting for executive team and board of directors
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes
- Coordinate external audits and ensure regulatory compliance
- Optimize financial systems and implement process improvements
- Mentor and develop accounting staff (5 direct reports)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (MBA preferred)
- CPA certification required
- 8+ years progressive accounting experience in corporate environments
- 5+ years in senior leadership role (Controller/Director level)
- Expert knowledge of GAAP, SOX compliance, and financial reporting
- Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) and Excel
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities
