Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain enterprise-level systems during night shifts, ensuring 99.99% uptime for mission-critical applications
- Execute proactive infrastructure maintenance including OS patching, security updates, and hardware refreshes
- Provide Tier 3 technical support for complex network, server, and cloud infrastructure issues
- Collaborate with global teams during off-hours to resolve critical incidents and implement emergency fixes
- Document system configurations, troubleshooting procedures, and knowledge base articles
- Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours emergency response
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise IT operations or system administration
- Expertise in Windows Server, Linux, and virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V)
- Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls)
- Proficiency in monitoring tools (Nagios, SolarWinds, Zabbix) and scripting (Python, PowerShell)
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification preferred
- Ability to work independently during night shifts with minimal supervision
