Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth stakeholder interviews and workshops to gather, document, and prioritize detailed business requirements.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Specifications, and User Stories.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, QA, and project managers, to ensure accurate translation of business needs into technical specifications.
- Perform gap analysis between current business processes and proposed system solutions to identify improvement opportunities.
- Create process flow diagrams, wireframes, and mockups to visualize solutions for non-technical audiences.
- Facilitate requirement reviews and sprint planning meetings to drive project clarity and consensus.
- Monitor project deliverables and identify potential risks or scope creep early in the development lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a business analyst role, preferably with exposure to part-time or contract work.
- Proficiency in SQL for data querying and analysis, plus advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Macros).
- Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical jargon into business value.
- Demonstrated experience in requirements gathering and documentation tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Visio).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
