Memphis Logistics Group is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior Corporate Accountant to join our growing finance team. Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the general ledger, ensuring all journal entries are accurate, timely, and fully reconciled.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP and internal policies.
- Manage the budgeting and forecasting process, providing insights to senior leadership on financial performance and variances.
- Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accuracy.
- Conduct internal audits and assist with external audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Streamline financial processes and implement new accounting systems to improve efficiency and data integrity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic initiatives and capital budgeting projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Master’s degree or CPA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in corporate accounting, financial reporting, or a similar role.
- Strong proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP).
- Proven track record of managing month-end and year-end close processes with strict attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Demonstrated leadership experience and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
