Responsibilities
- Lead Night Operations: Direct and manage project lifecycles from initiation through closure, specifically focusing on night shift deployments and maintenance windows.
- Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and internal teams, providing clear communication and status updates during non-standard business hours.
- Risk Mitigation: Identify potential project risks early in the night shift cycle and implement proactive mitigation strategies to ensure on-time delivery.
- Resource Allocation: Optimize team performance by assigning tasks effectively and ensuring adequate staffing for all ongoing projects.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all deliverables meet stringent quality standards and compliance requirements before client sign-off.
- Reporting: Generate comprehensive reports on project progress, budget utilization, and resource metrics for executive review.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in Project Management, preferably within the IT or Government contracting sector in Washington, DC.
- Shift Availability: Must be willing and able to work the night shift (10:00 PM - 06:00 AM) on a consistent basis.
- Certifications: PMP, PgMP, or Prince2 certification is strongly preferred.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Jira, Asana, MS Project) and agile methodologies.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with a proven track record of resolving complex issues under tight deadlines.
