Responsibilities
- Technical SEO Mastery: Conduct and execute in-depth technical audits to identify and resolve crawl errors, site speed issues, and indexation problems.
- Keyword Strategy: Lead the end-to-end keyword research process, identifying high-value opportunities and optimizing content to target specific user intent.
- Content Optimization: Collaborate with content creators and developers to implement on-page SEO best practices, meta tags, and structured data markup.
- Link Building: Develop and execute white-hat link-building strategies to increase domain authority and improve search rankings.
- Analytics & Reporting: Monitor campaign performance using Google Analytics 4 and Search Console, producing detailed monthly reports that demonstrate ROI and growth.
- Competitive Analysis: Analyze competitor strategies and market trends to stay ahead of algorithm updates and maintain a competitive edge.
- Team Leadership: Mentor junior SEO analysts and collaborate with cross-functional teams (CRO, PPC, Development) to align SEO goals with overall business objectives.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of proven experience in SEO, with a track record of improving organic search traffic and rankings for mid-to-large scale websites.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and site architecture principles. Experience with CMS platforms like WordPress or Drupal.
- Tools: Proficiency in Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, and Google Tag Manager.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and a passion for staying current with Google algorithm updates.
- Location: Must be based in or willing to relocate to the San Francisco Bay Area.
