What You Will Do:
- Lead End-to-End Projects: Manage the full project lifecycle from initiation and planning to execution and closure for complex software solutions.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact for clients and internal teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment on goals.
- Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify potential roadblocks and develop contingency plans to keep projects moving forward.
- Resource Coordination: Collaborate with department heads to allocate resources efficiently and optimize team performance.
- Agile Methodology: Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to foster continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Business Administration (Master’s degree preferred).
- Certification: PMP or CAPM certification is highly desired.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in the IT or software industry.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in project management tools such as Jira, Asana, Trello, or MS Project.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and conflict resolution abilities.
- Location: Must be willing to work on-site in Columbus, OH.
Responsibilities
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that significantly increase business value.
- Monitor project progress and identify potential risks early to mitigate delays.
- Manage budgets and resource allocation to ensure projects stay on track.
- Communicate project status, risks, and blockers to stakeholders effectively.
- Facilitate agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
- Mentor junior project managers and team members to foster professional growth.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- PMP or CAPM certification is a strong plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within the IT or Software industry.
- Proven experience leading Agile/Scrum development teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in project management tools such as Jira, Asana, or MS Project.
