Responsibilities
- Requirements Gathering: Conduct stakeholder interviews and workshops to elicit, analyze, document, and validate business requirements.
- Process Improvement: Evaluate business processes, identify areas for improvement, and recommend solutions that drive operational efficiency.
- Data Analysis: Analyze complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform strategic decision-making.
- Documentation: Create detailed user stories, wireframes, and functional specifications documents (FSDs) for development teams.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary liaison between business units, project managers, and IT development teams to ensure project alignment.
- Testing & QA: Collaborate with QA teams to ensure solutions meet business needs and quality standards.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in the IT or finance sector.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Business Administration (Master’s preferred).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, data modeling tools, and Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate technical jargon into business requirements.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical thinking with a proven track record of resolving complex business problems.
- Location: Must be willing to work on-site in San Diego, CA.
